The presentation of the portrait of Linda Darlington to her husband Jim. Linda was killed December 15, 2013 when her car slid off the road in Crown Point. A passing couple stopped to help her on the way home from their wedding reception and both Linda and the groom were struck and killed by another passing car. We presented this portrait to her family on her 43rd birthday, May 3, 2014. Linda was a first grade teacher and we unveiled the portrait at the elementary school where she taught and all the students were present for a memorial tribute.
The presentation of the portrait of Muncie Police Officer Gregg Winters who was killed 23 years ago in the line of duty. His widow is Molly Winters- she is a member of the Crisis/Memorial Response Team for the Indiana FOP. Molly counsels the family members of fallen officers, and we presented this portrait at the annual convention for the Indiana FOP on June 20, 2014.
The memorial service photo of Officer Jeffrey Westerfield of Gary, IN. He was killed in the line of duty July 6, 2014. We work in conjunction with the Indiana FOP Crisis/Memorial Response Team. Whenever any police officer in Indiana is killed in the line of duty, we provide a portrait for the memorial service that is coordinated by the response team.
The portrait of Glibert Keltner to his two daughters, Madeleine Stromberg and her sister Patty Keltner. Patty lives in a group home for adults with special needs, and she was delighted with the portrait of her father. Madeleine felt that it might make Patty less anxious about her own death to realize that her father is waiting for her in heaven.
